Vincent D’Onofrio is an American actor and filmmaker best known for his supporting and leading role as Wilson Fisk (aka The Kingpin) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Daredevil, Hawkeye, Echo, and the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again for Disney+.

D’Onofrio started his acting career soon after graduating high school, appearing in community theatre productions and moving to off-Broadway roles. Many have pointed his role as the clumsy Marine recruit, Private Leonard “Gomer Pyle” Lawrence in Full Metal Jacket (1987), to be a career defining moment, which garnered him a nomination in the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actor. That same year, he appeared as Dawson in Adventures in Babysitting, showing his versatility as an actor.

He has appeared in numerous film projects in wide-ranging roles, including Bill Newman in Oliver Stone’s JFK (1991), as Orson Welles in Tim Burton’s biopic Ed Wood, as Edgar the Bug in Men in Black (1997), as Carl Stargher in Tarsem Singh’s The Cell (2000), as Vic Hoskins in Jurassic World (2015), and, most recently, as Denton in the Netflix film Lift (2024).

On television, he has had some choice roles, including New York City Police Detective Robert Goren in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, the Wizard of Oz in Emerald City, Vincent “The Chin” Gigante in Godfather of Harlem, and George Milburn in Ratched. He has also ventured into video games, playing Duke Luca Abele in Bethesda’s 2016 Dishonored 2.
