Laz Alonso is an American actor best known for his roles in blockbuster films and television series. He gained widespread recognition for portraying Tsu’tey, the fierce Na’vi warrior in Avatar (2009), and Fenix Calderon, the main antagonist in Fast & Furious. Additionally, Alonso is well known for his role as Marvin T. "Mother's Milk" Milk in The Boys, one of Prime’s most popular series.
Alonso has appeared in numerous films, showcasing his versatility. In Jarhead (2005), he played Lance Corporal Ramon Escobar, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx. He starred as Malcolm Moore in This Christmas (2007), sharing the screen with Idris Elba and Regina King. His role as Corporal Hector Negron in Miracle at St. Anna (2008) saw him working with director Spike Lee and actor Derek Luke. Alonso also played Carlos Jones in Cash Truck, a film directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham.
On television, he starred in Breakout Kings as Charlie Duchamp and had a leading role in Deception. His television credits also include The Mysteries of Laura, where he portrayed Detective Billy Soto, and appearances in CSI: Miami, NCIS, and Bones.
