Famke Janssen is a Dutch actress and former model, best known for her portrayal of Jean Grey/Phoenix in the X-Men film series (2000–2014) and the femme fatale Xenia Onatopp in GoldenEye (1995).
Janssen has starred in a variety of films, showcasing her versatility across genres. In Taken (2008), she played Lenore Mills, the ex-wife of Liam Neeson's character, reprising the role in its sequels. She appeared alongside Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in X-Men (2000), X2: X-Men United (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), and cameos in The Wolverine (2013), and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), bringing depth to the character of Jean Grey. Her filmography also includes Lord of Illusions (1995), House on Haunted Hill (1999), and Hide and Seek (2005).
Beyond film, Janssen has made a significant impact on television. She starred in the Netflix original series Hemlock Grove, the FX drama Nip/Tuck, and ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder. She also led The Blacklist: Redemption, a spin-off of the popular crime thriller The Blacklist, in which she continued her role as Susan Hargrave.
