Biography
Robbie Amell is a Canadian actor who is best known for his roles of Stephen Jameson on the CW’s The Tomorrow People, Ronny Raymond (one half of Firestorm) on The Flash, and Nathan Brown on the Amazon series Upload.
Amell’s first movie audition while still in junior high for a featured role as Eugene Levy and Carmen Electra’s son Daniel in the motion picture Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005), alongside Tom Welling (Smallville). Since then, he has appeared in a variety of feature films, including the slasher film Left for Dead (2007) alongside Danielle Harris, The DUFF (2015), which co-stars Mae Whitman (Tinker Bell), the dark comedy The Babysitter (2017) and it’s sequel The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020) starring Samara Weaving, and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021) with Hannah John Kamen and Tom Hopper. In 2019, Robbie Amell co-starred with his cousin, Stephen Amell (Arrow) in the sci-fi action film Code 8, with a sequel set to be released in 2023 or 2024.
Amell has amassed quite a few TV credits like NBC series 1600 Penn, The X-Files, Modern Family, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Revenge and The Witcher. He also had a memorable stint on How I Met Your Mother, as Nate "Scooby" Scooberman, Robin’s short-term boyfriend with certain dog-like mannerisms. Coincidentally, he had previously played Fred in Cartoon Network’s live action movies Scooby Doo! The Curse of the Lake Monster (2009) and Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins (2010).
