G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra


Born in Glasgrow, Scotland, and raised in London, Ray has always wanted to be in movies. His inspiration came from his father’s love of martial arts and Bruce Lee. At the age seven, Park’s father introduced him to traditional Chinese Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. As he progressed in Kung Fu, he started to train in kickboxing and wushu. When Ray was 16 years old he won Great Britain’s Martial Arts National Championship and went on to compete around the world in martial arts tournaments.

Park is well remembered as Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menacem (1999), one of the most iconic villains from the last two decades. The following year, Park landed the role of Toad on Bryan Singer’s X-Men (2000). In 2009, through his signature moves, he homaged the role of Darth Maul as a security guard for THX, in the cameo-heavy comedy film Fanboys. That same year, he played Edgar on the TV series Heroes. More recently, Park has taken on the role of the silent ninja,  Snake Eyes,  in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), and its sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013).
