Biography
Michael Biehn is best known for playing Kyle Reese, the man sent back through time to stop Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800, in James Cameron’s The Terminator (1984). He starred in Cameron’s subsequent films, Aliens (1986) and The Abyss (1989), the latter a standout performance as unstable Navy SEAL officer Lt. Hiram Coffey.
Biehn’s first role, though uncredited, was as a basketball player from Rydell High in Grease (1978). His first major role was as a psychotic fan stalking Lauren Bacall in The Fan (1981). Following his success in James Cameron films, he starred in films like Navy Seals (1990), K2 (1991) and was particularly memorable as Johnny Ringo in Tombstone (1993). Other credits include Michael Bay’s The Rock (1996) with Sean Connery, Christian Duguay’s The Art of War (1998) with Wesley Snipes, and Robert Rodriguez’ Grindhouse (2007) segment, “Planet Terror”, to name but a few.
His television credits include NBC’s 1978 series, The Runaways, the CBS series The Magnificent Seven with Ron Perlman, and the Global series Adventure Inc. Most recently, he had notable roles as the Magistrate's Captain of the Guard, Lang, on Chapter 13 of The Mandalorian, and the Riverbend warlord, Ian, on the eleventh season of The Walking Dead.
