She began her entertainment career as a child singer in the girl group KRUSH and had their first single, “Let’s Get Together” on the Mo Moneysoundtrack. After 5 years in KRUSH, Karan decided to dive head first and begin an acting career. Her big break came when she went to an open call audition, beat out over 10,000 hopefuls and landed the role of Aisha the Yellow Power Rangers on the #1 kids show in America, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. She appeared in over 80 episodes and even reprised her role in the hit film Power Rangers the Movie (1995). Furthermore, she has been on many different TV shows such as Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper,The Steve Harvey Show, One on One, The Parkers, Kenan & Kel, as well as numerous films and many other projects.
Although acting is her passion, she ventured into producing, forming the production company GAG Order films. She wrote and starred in two feature filmsUnto Thee (1999) and Devon’s Ghost (2005). She worked as a producer for BET’s Jazz channel, a TV talk show with Sheryl Underwood on UPN, and produced, created and wrote, A Day in the Life and Turning Point.
She is also working on the projects Uncensored Reality, Uncensored Radio, Grow Up Already and The Big Comeback.
