Biography

Jodelle Ferland co-stars in the upcoming feature film, The Office Games, alongside Evan Marsh, Mark Camacho and Kenny Wong. She is best known for her role as Five, in the SyFy/Space Dark Matter and portrayed the triple roles of Sharon Da Silva, Alessa Gillespie, and Dark Alessa in the Silent Hill (2009).

Ferland’s career spans well over a decade with a resumé that includes over 70 film and television credits. In 1998, at the age of four, Jodelle’s first leading role in Mermaid (2000) earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination for 'Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Special' and won her a Young Artist Award for 'Best Performance in a Television Movie'. She also starred alongside Jeff Bridges and Jennifer Tilly, earned in Terry Gilliam’s Tideland (2005), a role that garnered her both a Genie and Saturn Award nominations in 2007.

Since then, she’s appeared in a variety of feature films, including The Messengers (2007), with Kristen Stewart, Case 39 (2009) opposite Renée Zellweger, and Pictures of Hollis Woods (2007), with Sissy Spacek. Fun fact: Sissy Spacek is best known for playing the title character in Brian De Palma’s genre-defining horror film, Carrie (1976), while Ferland played a young Carrie in the 2002 TV film. Additional films in the horror genre include, TwilightEclipse (2010), Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's Cabin in the Woods (2011), and The Tall Man (2012), alongside Jessica Biel. She has also done voice work, including the animated feature film, Paranorman (2012), and the voices of the Little Sisters in 2K Games BioShock 2.
