Biography

Djibril Morissette-Phan is a visual artist based in Rimouski, Quebec. He finished his studies in 2D animation at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal in 2014 and has worked as a comic book illustrator ever since. In 2015, he met Jim Zub with whom he created the Glitterbomb series published by Image Comics. He thus began to work in the American comic book industry where he signed several titles at Marvel.

In 2018, he began a long process of collaboration with his sister, Yasmine, culminating in the publication of Khiêm: Terres mères (Glénat Québec), a graphic novel telling the story of the Vietnamese side of their family. At the same time, he was published in France, with Le Lombard and Les Humanoides Associés.

In addition to comics, Djibril maintains a personal artistic practice and takes part in various cultural mediation and mentoring activities.
