Dan Parent is an American comic book artist and writer best known for his work with Archie Comics. A graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Art, he began his career at Archie Comics in 1987 and quickly became a key figure in shaping the modern Archie universe.
Parent gained widespread attention in 1994 with his writing and artwork for Love Showdown, a storyline that captivated Archie fans. In 2010, he made history by introducing Kevin Keller, the first openly gay character in Archie Comics, in Veronica #202. Keller's popularity led to his own title, Kevin Keller #1, in 2012.
Beyond Archie, Parent co-created Die Kitty Die with Fernando Ruiz, a satirical comic series that blends humor and horror, successfully funded through Kickstarter. His artistic contributions also include Archie vs. Sharknado, a crossover with the cult film franchise, and Archie Meets Batman '66, a collaboration between Archie Comics and DC Comics.
