Having started in the world of traditional animation, Axelle Lenoir has been writing and illustrating comics since 2003. After a decade of collaborating with European publishers such as Dargaud, Glénat and Paquet, Axelle turned her attention to Quebec and the United States to take her career to the next step. This new direction was based on a craving for creative freedom and a desire to find an audience that will connect more with her offbeat worlds that mix coming-of-age stories, with humour, fantasy, everyday-life, with a touch of queerness. His latest series, L'Esprit du Campand Si On Était, are both published by Front Froid (Québec) and Topshelf (USA, to be released in 2020). In the first book, we follow a few rebellious teenagers on a holiday camp in the 90s, while in the second, is a humorous strip about the overflowing imagination of Marie and Nathalie.
