Arthur "Zombie King" Suydam is an award winning artist mostly known for The Walking Dead, Marvel Zombies, Deadpool, Army of Darkness, Moonknight, Black Panther and much more. Suydam’s work for the smash hit series Marvel Zombies prompted an international Pop-Culture zombie phenomenon.
Recent awards include: The Spike TV Scream Award (best writer, best artist, best comic of the year), the prestigious, Spectrum Gold Award for Institutional Art , The San Sebastian Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award, U.O.M.E.S Lifetime Achievement Award and numerous fan-site favorite awards across the globe.
Suydam and contemporary Richard Corben are credited with first introducing fully painted sequential art to mainstream comics in the 70s and 80s to American comic audiences. His work is currently on display at the Fraunces Tavern Musuem in New York in the exhibit "Cloaked Crusader: George Washington in Comics and Pop Culture."
