Bio

Amanda Wyss’ most memorable film performances were in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), Better Off Dead (1985), Silverado (1985), the award-winning Powwow Highway (1989), and of course, A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). In the first Nightmare, Wyss plays Tina Gray, one of the Elm Street children whose parents were involved in burning and killing Freddy Krueger, and has the film’s opening encounter with Freddy, after he became the undead Dream Demon.

She's also worked extensively in television, with recurring roles on St. Elsewhere, Cagney & Lacey, Highlander: The Series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Murder in the First, with guest appearance in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Charmed, Dexter, and The Rookie. In 2016, she starred in the indie thriller The Id, which won Best Thriller at the 2016 Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. She followed that with the indie monster movie Big Legend (2018), starring alongside Lance Henriksen and Adrienne Barbeau, and Badland (2019), a Western detective film also starring Wes Studi, Mira Sorvino, and Jeff Fahey.
