Tony Todd is an American actor, voice artist and film producer known for a wide variety of roles, especially in genre and horror films.
His first major film was Oliver Stone’s Platoon (1986), alongside Forest Whitaker, Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe and Tom Berenger. After several guest-starring roles on television, he took on the lead role of Ben in Tom Savini’s 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead. It was around this time that he portrayed the Klingon Kurn in Star Trek: The Next Generation, brother to Michael Dorn’s Worf. However, two years later, he would come to embody the iconic title character in the horror movie franchise, Candyman (1992), which he reprised in the 1995 and 1999 sequels.
Since then, he’s played countless roles, from playing William Bludworth in the Final Destination franchise, the Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), General Benjamin Juma on 24, Lord Haikon on Stargate SG-1 and CIA Director Langston Graham on Chuck. He also lent his voice to several shows, including Dreadwing on Transformers: Prime, Darkseid in several DC Lego animated features, and the villainous Zoom on CW’s The Flash.
